It's pretty great to be able to play the guitar. I don't really know what I'd do if I hadn't learned how to do that. Singing is neat too. When I get a song in my head, I'd much rather learn how to play it than pull out the CD and just listen. I don't really know how I decided to write my first song. I was in high school and had some ideas and just started writing. I sure love it! What's even better is that others enjoy it too and actual want to hear me do something that I love to do.

Some people like what I do enough to become a "fan." It feels great to have a fan but it sure hurts to loose one. On Saturday, April 7, 2007 I lost one of my biggest fans when my Dad died very suddenly of an aneurism in an abdominal artery. He was 64.

He and my mom have been to just about every show I've ever played in Eau Claire and several out of town gigs too. My dad always said that he was glad I hadn't decided to be a rap musician. I can't tell you how wonderful it is to chase after a dream with the kind of support I've had from my parents. They've been there since the first guitar lessons, sat through a lot of gigs (good and bad) and my Dad was always one of the first to hear my new songs. I'm going to miss him a lot.

Thank you to all of you who have sent cards and emails. That really means a lot to me that you would take the time to think of our family. I really appreciate it.
