First, I offer you some words of wisdom: if you have anything on your computer that you care about, photos, music, documents, etc, go today and get a couple of external hard drives and back up your computers!!! The hard drive in my laptop died last week. I have two 250GB external hard drives and I back up my whole laptop every so often. I would have swore up and down that I did a back up in early November but when all was said and done, I made a full recovery up to October 15, 2007. But I lost everything from the last month. Had we not had copies on Cynthia's computer of all the photos of Eric from the hospital, those would be gone! Those photos are now on a CD and I am backing up my User folder (I use a Mac) every day or so and I have a third hard drive coming in the mail this week.
This was a huge eye opener for me. I had friends re-send all the photos from Key West and I have been trying to update everything else but I lost all emails from the last month. So really, if you use your computer for anything that you would like to keep, be sure you're backing it up! That's my advice for the day.
Secondly, for the second time in a year and a half, we have a For Sale sign in our front yard! I was thinking back to a year ago. We had just found this house and desided that this is where we wanted to be. We had done a couple of walk throughs and we were holding our breath hoping our offer would be accepted and everything would line up for us to move in by Christmas. It all worked out at we closed on 12/21/06 and moved everything in over the next couple days and we were thrilled. Now we are just as excited to get the For Sale sign up and we hope to connect with some folks who are as excited as we were to move in here.
When we sold our home in Eau Claire, I made my own web page "tour" of our home and yard to share with people who might have, at that time, been interested in buying the home. We knew tons of people in Eau Claire and it made sense to have a link I could email out to folks. We don't know too many people in this area so I'm not going to do a "For Sale" web page but for folks who know me, I have spent much of my time updating this house since we closed just over a year ago. I have taken many before and after pictures and I thought it might be fun to do a page of those shots. So here is that link: 2039 Stonybrook Road, Louisville, TN
Otherwise, have a great week!
